Rene vs Metropolis
Mutl the clock to the Ymod input. Enable G + Mod on the Yfunction page.dbeats wrote:I still really love both of these sequencers. But there is one thing for me that is still totally missing in the Metropolis, and not directly implemented in the Rene either: a way to program and send accents.
Now you can use Ygate out to send accents at the steps you desire, regardless of vertical step advancements.
Oh yes, I must admit I´ve overlooked that, though it´s quite obvious now that I know it. Have to take back my remark about Rene then. Thanks a lot!nectarios wrote:Mutl the clock to the Ymod input. No worries. Having a Maths or Function near by, you can put qCV out through save the qCV sequence and then use unquantized CV out to modulate both rise and fall times and perform glides on the desired steps as well.dbeats wrote:Oh yes, I must admit I´ve overlooked that, though it´s quite obvious now that I know it. Thanks for the hint! Patched that today to try it out. Well it works, but is already a bit too far away and not very convenient for my taste. I really love to have the Rene encoders in line with my current melody and being able to adjust it later. Utilising the Y-gates for accents is great though. Propagate helps a lot btw.nectarios wrote:No worries. Does anybody know what that 16 step thing is on the far left with 4 rows of knobs across each step? Looks really nice if its a sequencer that doesnt take up space in the rack.davidh wrote:some fun things you can do with René
sync on a number of steps, then shift and you access to other steps
