I'm in the process of reworking the ABS cases. The new version will have nutserts in place allowing the user to attach a carry strap along with backpack straps. I've been carting around a shallow 6U for a while now and realised it'd be even better as a backpack. Just need to find some nice straps with padding for the right price.
That's a great idea... Not really feasible for the 12U version though I guess ?
The folding case will have an optional shoulder strap but I think it'd be too bulky as a backpack.
Yeah, that's what I guessed. It's an excellent idea for a 6/7U case though... :tu:

interested in a flight case

Post by mk »

Hello from Sydney. I'm interested in purchasing a 6U case — This has prob been discussed before, but what are the available depths of the shallow and deep case? And costs for direct sale?

Thanks in advance, your cases look great.

best, mk

The ABS cases are undergoing a makeover but things have come to a halt until I relocate my workshop. I make the move this weekend so give us a couple of weeks while I set up shop. In the meantime drop me a line via my contact page below. Laptop just died so apologies if I am slow to repond..

Ive been in contact with meatbeatz and it seems that the folding 12u cases wont be ready for another few weeks due to some setbacks. I cant wait though!

Should have mentioned I was asking about the 6/7u cases, although the folding case does look amazing! It's tempting but I am trying to somewhat limit myself.....

These are on hold for a bit while I sort out the ABS folding case. Once that's done I can get on with 6U/7U versions. My workload is hectic atm but I'll get there in the end!

Looking good. Any Chance you'll bring back the 7U version?

I'm building some 7U's as we speak :)

7U can have the 1U row on either side or in the middle. The 1U row is compatible with Pulp Logic/Erthenvar tiles.

Both 6U and 7U are fitted with an AGM104 distro board and 5A PSU.

I've had the Amalgamod 6U for about a year now - excellent case , great power and no problems carrying on many flights.

Wow, I've not been getting alerts so apologies to everyone for not responding...

I might have one spare from this current small batch. I only usually build these to order and prices vary depending on your power requirements. If you'd like to discuss, please drop me a line at:

Thanks!

hands full with newborn and a seriously backlogged inbox. can you please PM me with your email address so I can get back to you asap?

regards new 6U/7U cases I have new designs coming out in march 2017. if you can wait till then I would recommend it as the new travel cases bring some fresh features to the table along with a reworked active busboard promising the highest spec in eurorack.
