I just finished scanning my original copy of the manual (in color!). I posted it here. It's ~39 Mb because I wanted to preserve resolution over file size. Enjoy!

Thanks much, but isn't a page missing after page 26? The last sentence "A resistor of…" is not continued on the next page, and "Figure 14" is missing (compared to my b/w copy).

it should be noted that several (if not all) of the 208s that left the factory had a wrong resistor value stuffed in the Reverb section.. there are also some mods that reduce output/reverb driver noise..
What is the reverb like on the original 208? Seeing as the Alessandro videos have a healthy does of reverb pedal and I think the Charles Coehn video does too I'm think the reverb might not be very good. If that's the case it would be nice if this was made awesome and possibly stereo...

I'd like for it to be as similar as possible to the original so I know there will be a certain amount of rethinking involved.
Another example is how the mod Osc mod and pitch sliders are inverted on the new one, making the banana input work differently from the original.

Bottom line is that these are prototypes and there'll be a certain amount of changes coming , and I would push for them to be the ones that bring this version closer to the original.
close to original would be perfect for all of us who've always admired the original Easel....with a few modern conveniences incorporated of course, roll on June/July.

Thanks for doing that - great to have a clean version!

Since it's open source, does that mean I can make a t-shirt of the Easel Weasel image on the first page?

this would not be possible, if they keep a spring reverb: there is barely room for one tank.

The spring reverb is ok, in my opinion: it does what a spring reverb is supposed to do, but i find it a bit too colored to use it on everything.
That is why i also use a pedal.

The manual looks great!!! thank you!
It will be a great read.

Are there any photos of the actual circuit board inside the easel?
