It might even come from the shitty encoding of those videos LOL.

And yeah i was thinking of the filters too, but i hear that buzz when the filters are open with no res.

Maybe it's some placebo effect, or its really the distortion of the sound codec. I'll try and search a HD example and see if i hear it.

Anyway im waiting for my RS-95, i hope i will like it.

I think you might be right about the codec. What you're describing could totally be codec "hiss". Put the saw wave of your RS-95 through a sweet filter, turn the res up and turn the filter down just a little so that it spikes the high frequencies and I bet you'll be happy :)

I think a lot of what we hear in vintage gear is old capacitors, wide tolerance components and various stages that are overdriving at least partially.
There is also that on some of my synths, like my old Moog stuff, the oscs are far from clean. The square always has a weird lip on one corner. Triangle and sawtooth sounds are often not very stright, but have a kind of curve to them.

Vintage sounding modules?
Erica Polivoks for sure. Esp with the PWM.
The MN STO is pretty good.

The Verbos CO sounds vintage-ish to my ears. It's been described as 'dusty' by someone here on the forum. ULFO is another good one and has been described as 'tubby'.

I like both dusty and tubby!
