I'm just not so sure how this that different, sonically, from a hertz donut or cyclebox. Yeah yeah, analog and digital, but once you start modulating and FMing that doesn't matter one bit to my ears. Would love a proper Makenoise demo.

I do really like the look and layout though.

More interested in echphon and ???

I think we should check for some subliminal messages in these videos. I have strange urge to have that thing, whatever it is.

Doesn't exactly sound out of the ordinary (yet). How different can basic waveforms be after all. Bring on the modulations!

The difference is huge. Audio-rate cross-modulation. Analog screams, digital just sort of "interferes". Maybe it is not the same with all digital oscillators, but the ones I own (Hertz donut, buchla 261e) just don't have the same quality as just about ANY analog oscillator. I'm not knocking digital, it is fine and great, but when it comes to audio rate FM, in my experiance, the difference is significant. Have you ever compared a 259e or 261e to an
original 259? I have and the difference is significant. The first video posted
by Raglani is a great example of audio-rate cross modulation. I have a hertz donut and it can't do that. Having said that, I too am more excited about the echphon and the ???? :sb:

all oscillators are great, digital and analog, sure there is a difference but an analog vco cant do what my WMD Gamma can do etc

Its all tools for creating a sonic space. VCOs are different pencils to work with.

Well put Amnesia.

Thanks for the video's Raglani. I'm curious as to what you think about the wavefolding of the Anti versus the DPO, in terms of gnarliness and such.

It is much less than than stop bumping the price up. I think you will be very happy with the price.

$700 will not sell many.

Tony is great at getting the price just right!

I have 600 euros set aside, but I also have a feeling it won't be that much. I'm guessing around 500-550 euros and about 599 USD MSRP. Anything less will be a welcome surprise!

There are some similarities like the Exp. and Lin. controls kind of slew or lag the osc when nothing is plugged into the inputs. The Wave folding is very different though. I feel like the DPO is %50 smoother. I have two Anti-Oscillators and I like them very much but I feel like they are kind of one or two trick ponies in comparison. You have more waveform outputs than the Anti which just has the two. The Wiard stuff tracks amazing and is very affordable IMO. The DPO is deep and offers a whole other world of possibilities. It's going to take me a bit to explore them. My tastes tend to be less noisy than others so my videos are pretty musically leaning. People looking for insane gnarly sounds though need look no further than the DPO although it seems capable of very clear and musical sounds as well. With the Anti.. lets say you have an Envelator enveloping the Waveshape of the Mayhem output and signals into both the Lin. and Exp. inputs.. I find it gets very muddy and sounds an indistinct mess. The DPO when modulated screams harder but also seems more defined and distinctive. I should probably do a crazy FM'd out demo next...
