Plan-B Update
Please don't think I was in anyway dissing people caring about how their modulars look. I'm as into the asthetics easily as much as the next guy. I just saw SubCon getting a lot of stick for his designs on here, and wanted to voice an opinion as a fan of them.
But yeah, 'each to his own' was perhaps the wrong phrase to pick when the people into the Plan B design are outta luck!

Norman,
I still owe you and I have not forgotten that. I am going to do a run of faceplate on my next payment cycle form cEvin for a new thing I'm doing and am attaching a few for M9s which is the one thing I cannot deliver to you. I have the PCBs already put together, tested and ready to go. The M10 is also waiting. I have not forgotten your continuing support and am still working to clear what I did to you fully.
I appreciate your resent message on this unendingly

Good on you Peter - this little corner of the musical world could always use more inspired work, and your path towards licensing your designs is a very wise move. It takes a lot of courage and drive to overcome these sorts of issues, and the fact you are working towards that is wonderful. Keep it up!

I am an ex CalArts intern & have not been contacted. I am in contact with another ex intern (not from CalArts) who has also not been contacted. One CalArts intern has been contacted and offered payment. The three of us were all burned in the same deal (a group buy for parts) back in '06. Not sure why only one gets to be repaid.Plan B wrote:I have also contacted my ex CalArts interns.

Hello everybody.
Hop 2013 is going well for you all. Saw this entry by Adam and it needs clarification.

This is not a fair representation of the discussion I had with the one intern he mentions. Last summer when i had these discussions, i spoke to this person about all three of them together as it was clear he was representing their interests. The indication that I only spoke of one of the three issues is not accurate, nor was Adam's previous postings in 2008 about my use of drugs.
In that the person I was exchanging letters with at the time indicated he would only accept his payment with the others, it's taken me a bit longer to clear. But as with all the others in which I have taken responsibility and care of , I will with these as well - regardless of the rather serious unjustified claims made about my recreational habits.
best, - P

No. It is a song, and it was released in 1982 by a band called Ultravox in which Peter did not perform.exper wrote:What's that? The Easel like instrument?logicgate wrote:Hey Peter, I hope that "The Voice" will come out this year!!
Wiggler logicgate is stuck in a time warp (which was a song composed in 1973 for The Rocky Horror Show, a stage musical in which logicgate did not perform).

Welcome back, Peter. I'm quite sure you don't remember me, but I took the interim class you taught at CalArts back in '07 â€â€was my first serious introduction to modular synthesizers (and the first time I'd ever heard the term "low pass gate"!!). Changed my life for real.
Such a shame about everything that went down. I've always considered your design to be truly singular. Good on you for seeing this through to the end and making amends.

thank you so much. i do not remember you specifically but am flattered that my ramblings had an effect. Regarding the business - sometimes we learn most by our mistakes. The company grew way too fast while at Noisebug. Everyone reached a point of over capacity, me included. It reared it's head in bad decisions. As a result, everyone was pissed off, Noisebug included, which is why they asked us to leave.jbartee wrote:Changed my life for real.

My intentions were never to cut and run, but t took far too long to deal with the money relarted issues. Thank God for cEvin Key. He gave me an opportunity to line those out. I;m told there is more product to be completed and it's done. It would never have happened without cEv and he was great to work with. An excellent project manager.
Keep in touch - i'm on facebook. thanks again
That's the one. The layout strikes me as having nods to the Easel/208. Whatever it is, it looks pretty cool from the blurred out rendering.logicgate wrote:Haha noexper wrote:What's that? The Easel like instrument?logicgate wrote:Hey Peter, I hope that "The Voice" will come out this year!!
I noticed that on his facebook account background image there's an self contained system that looks really interesting, called "The Voice"

This, correct?exper wrote:The layout strikes me as having nods to the Easel/208. Whatever it is, it looks pretty cool from the blurred out rendering.

I hope he goes ahead with production, despite the new Easel from Buchla. This is a different animal, and if he can keep it at a price point below Buchla I think it would be an interesting instrument.

this is it's own thing and patching with bananas is sooo much nicer, stackcables are a good compromise, but don't compare. i've had numerous instances of bumping 3.5mm cables while patched and getting crackles and pops, that just doesn't happen with bananas. also, it's not hard or expensive to get/make a 3.5mm<>banana box. just ask logan, he'll sort you out.
