I'm totally fine with the bananas on this design, if it cost less than the easel I would totally be into getting one of these. Really inspiring instrument. I hope Peter goes full steam ahead with this design :nana:

I'd get one of these AND an easel. Financial security be damned.

So, who wants to buy a QMF?

Bananas every time. Interfacing to Euro or 5U is no issue as long as you have a common ground.

I also think bananas are great for this design! Now if the voltage levels would be similar(ish) to euro it would be killer.. but on it's own it looks very capable (I'd still get one.)
Any guesses on the price? I'd hope it would be cheaper than the Easel.
Fast beat the feet, fast fall the hands!

Current gear: About 9U of eurocrack modulz, Waldorf Streichfett, Roland VR-09 (haz nice Hammondz on it), Cubase 5, Yamaha MX16 USB-MIDI interface + Washburn T12B Bass guitar, Eko S-300 Strat copy (the guitars are mostly for demos, sampling or playing shitty punk).

Good luck Peter. I for one am ready to buy his modules again (although from a third party :hide: )

I don't want to sound like a dick, but I think that voice module... although awesome... would be a mistake right now. It's WAY to much of a build when you're basically starting from scratch with the general public. Mho of course.

Start small and build from there. Put out some modules.
To be honest we will always be there for a beast like "the voice". Just because buchla makes one doesnt mean no one wants the other. Do you honestly think if buchla came out with a euro oscillator that no one would want a model 15 or a dpo?

One more incredibly cool thing imho would be to add a small nana/3.5 patchbay somewhere on the voice. easy interfacing! And this along with the 1v/octave, other features and lower price would totally make me buy this much rather than an easel.
Plus I heard Don Buchla's Son is a dick

That would also work for me I suppose (the interface bit)

let me restate that. I'm ready to buy peters modules that don't feature eyeballs sprinkled all over the place and what looks like black goo spilt over the top of it again.

Peters modules are/were some of the most beautiful around. How putting eyeballs all over them is seen as an improvement is beyond me.

:tu: agreed, they remain of the best front panel designs in euro.

Peter, bring your designs back. Nanners or 3.5mm jacks. No preference on that, but bring them back with the "Classic" Plan B look. I want my synth to look like a synth, not a 12 year old's guitar case covered in stickers.

I don't think it'd be wise to go up against buchla on this. The market demanded an easel. If the voice came out first, sure. If he licensed it out, maybe... But as it is, I'd not feel comfortable buying a 2-4k box from plan B. sell me a touch panel keyboard tho, please.

I like the subcon panel.... A whole row of them may be a little much, but 2 vcos and an LFO look great. I can easily read the setting, but havent needed to... theres only a few functions.

The sound though ... Smoking ... I am so glad I got a second m15. First impressions is that it's an even better purchase than the first. Tho I guess that they were designed to be used in pairs like the 258?

Maybe the 2nd run will be more vanilla panel so that even the more timidly fashioned racks can have the fatness.

Maybe he can team up with Randal - have him design and manufacture the case for it. Dream team.

:tu:

p.s. Glad to see progress being made to pay back those who were screwed over - provided Peter doesn't go at it Cynthia style and blame the customers for every problem, I might even consider picking up a module or two from a dealer depending on what comes out.

I'm getting an Easel.

I'd also be up for a banana "The Voice".

Wouldn't you rather only buy one touchplate keyboard though? :hmm:

Maybe split this into two halves...

OK. One touchplate makes sense. If not, I'd still be interested in Peter's "The Voice".

I'm not saying x-y wouldn't be sweet... It would be... But if he could just take whatever he's got ready for the voice.... And make a damn keyboard. I'd buy that fucker.

I too would definitely purchase
the touch keyboard component of
The voice if it was offered stand alone.
It's a mystery to me why no one has yet
produced a traditional keyboard touch
controller with cv/pressure/location
sensing for euro.

purely judging from the front panel, I'd rather have the voice than the easel.
