Hi Tom,
This is really wonderful and inspiring news.
I will be placing my order as soon as you have a few
to sell. Please put me on the waiting list too - or the beta list!
Hope to see you at NAMM.
Best,
Richard Boulanger

I first used Soundhack when I took a DSP class from Dr. Boulanger back in '98 and have enjoyed Tom's work ever since so I'm really excited to hear about this!
tomerbe, what are the sample rates on the modulation inputs?
One point of dissatisfaction I've had with other digital delay modules is a low sample rate on these inputs....like apfEID was asking about audio rate cv responsiveness.
I've held off on buying any dd modules as it seemed like too many compromises had been made or the feature set wasn't mature enough. The echophon sounds really promising though!

Thanks for the info 8_) Pity that it isn't stereo, but then, you could always use two...which probably makes for a very nicely de-correllated stereo image as you won't get parameters set 100% identical between channels.tomerbe wrote:its a mono device but with two different outs (straight delay and pitch shifted delay) and (planned) two inputs to facilitate easier external feedback loops.
Looking forward to thsi very much

Sure, I understand :-) maybe I'll just have to grab two and build one two-channel unit with common controls & CV ins behind a new faceplatetomerbe wrote:it was designed to be a mono device from the beginning - stereo would mean less processing power (good bye pitchshifter) and under a second delay time. in short - i more desired a more interesting mono device....

yes - it is so nice to be working on hardware againsoundsculptor wrote:wow, I think this is very good news!
also after years of plugins made after hardware now hardware gets made after plugins.. this is something.
fwiw, i built hardware before i made any software (binaural processor for NASA (89), pitch detector for electric violin (86)). thrilled to be working in eurorack and with tony now.
and there will be some differences from my plugin naturally. for one thing all the CVs can be modulated much faster than plugin parameters. i am trying to strike the right slew rate balance between smooth slow response and audio modulation - but you can certainly do FM with the time input for the bottom 6 octaves. also, the pitch shift input is 1V/OCT... so sequenced harmonies or repitched delay feedback drones...
i'll be at the NAMM on Friday and Saturday - drop by if you're around and i'll give a full tour!

oooh ok I'm suddenly 1000% more interested.tomerbe wrote:also, the pitch shift input is 1V/OCT... so sequenced harmonies or repitched delay feedback drones...
