Yes, I have one of these and I want 3 or 5 more of them eventually since I like it that much
It's my absolute favorite EG and the only one I want to have in my system eventually after I do some buying/selling.
I had one in 'B' and when I sold all that off to switch back to 'A' one of these was in my first must-have replacement order from Bruce. Some people think it's complete overkill in the way of control but I say it's better to have more than not enough when it comes to shaping and detail.
The feature that makes it absolutely essential to me is the insanely fast attack. I owned an 04B as well as a Quad EG and I also have a Dual ADSR. They're all fine modules but for creating fast, super-sharp sounds the 7-Stage EG slays them all, really stunning. I'm in the middle of re-arranging everything right now and I decided that this one is going front and center in my set of Rock Star modules. It's pretty hard to make an envelope that exciting and impressive but Bruce did it with this one. For me at least.

I'd like to know if it can get that super punchy sound of the two bass demos for the Quad Envelope.

I'd like to get into the spirit of things and do a demo but alas, I have no cam and I don't even have a recording interface at present. I just finished doing a complete rearrangement which should be damn near my final configuration (I know, that's what they always say) and now I just want to make The Good and record. I'll try to join the party soon
I bet it makes a great filter modulator 8_)

I have posted some demos for the Touch Sequencer,
http://www.modcan.com/bseries/Touch.html
some of which were done using the AHDBDSR. Touchme and Percussive
used it. The others used the Quad EG.
The speed of the AHDBDSR is around 330uS attack time.
The Quad is about the same. The website page for the
quad needs to be corrected as speed was improved a few weeks
after the page was created.

i am guessing the ueg is quite a bit different. i know it is nothing like my quad eg. the ueg has separate control of stage length and voltage output level. the ueg can be clocked per stage like a sequencer. the modcan has a built in vca but surely isn't meant to be a sequencer and it has a lot more vc options. i suppose if simply trying to use the ueg as an eg, they might have some overlap but i am guessing they would end in a different workflow and different sonic result in most circumstances.
