New Oakley PCB: Fourmix

Post by Synthbuilder »

It's a simple but useful mixer module for CV and audio. Other features include a built in negative and positive voltage source, a soft clip output and LED indication of signal level.

PCBs now available to purchase.

Full documentation will be available before the end of the week.

Reading the description it seems interesting, if i understanded correctly what it does.

I'm building an Oakley modular focused around effects at the moment.
I'm looking for various distortion-clipper-overdrive-bitcrusher modules, do you think it can fill that bill too besides its mixing functions ?

Any chance to listen to it on that context ?

Thanks

No. This is soft clipping. It's very subtle. Nice but subtle. Listen to it on a cheap pair of ear buds and you'll probably not even hear it. I'll sort out some sound samples in the next few weeks.

The nearest we have to that sort of sonic mayhem is the Oakley Discontinuity. But a sample and hold clocked at audio rates is also pretty cool.
