How do u plug your 5u modules into 3u . Is it as simple as a 1/4 - 1/8 cable or do u need a converter module ?

You should be good to go with just the cable.

I use converter cables, a MOTM-940 and some converted Frac rack ears when patching from 5U to the Frac and Digisound modules :bacon:
The 940 is also excellent for interfacing with Bananas  :nana: :bananaguitar: :nana:
Cheers :guinness:

1/4->1/8 cables or adapters will work, but you should probably consider connecting the 3U and 5U PSU grounds. :tu:

I made this for all of my format conversion needs. It has 6 groups of multiples, 2 each of bannana jacks, 1/8" and 1/4". The lines between lead to switching jacks that connect those multiples when a cable is inserted. The whole thing can be connected with 2 patch cables!

I have a wiard noise ring in my eurorack. I cut an adapter plate for it, so as the frac module mounts to the adapter, and then the adapter mounts to the euro subrack.

I considered making some of these for 5u systems, but i think someone allreddy does?

I figured somthing like a 5u by, say, 3u panel, cut for mounting a selection of euro modules in the front, and some 3.5mmm to 1/4 inch 'multiples' in the spare space along the bottom. And a power pcb to regulate the 15v down to 12v.

Either that, or, of course, euro pcbs could be properly converted to 5u, with the same knob spacing, etc. (basically keeping the pcb alone, and replacing the front panel, and all front panel components)
.

I almost shit blood :omg: when reading this. At first I thought you modified the Wiard panel. That would qualify for electrocution.

Thanks! I only made 2, kept this one and sold the other to the ToneWrecker. He also later had me modify it to have more bannana to 1/8" conversion so it now looks like the mult of Frankenstein.
