great synth for its sound. ok for its flexibility. Terrible for size/value. I don't have a huge space - no way would I want to swap a similarly sized case of serge for one of these. Of course the sound/functionality is quite different....

I had one, and I just could not justify keeping it.

I'm with you!

I have a lead one a M5N that MIGHT be up for sale, but i have no clue how much they sold for new... or what they're worth now.

I just fell in love with that thing. it's amazing. and HUGE! hahaha

but if it's like 5K i got a Swarmatron w/ my name on it before a M5N :)

Last time I saw one for sale on ebay was $4700. I tracked it after the auction ended for a while to see if it gets relisted. I don't think it even sold for that much. That was long after they were discontinued. It was M5N model.

Forgot to add. When I was looking at potentially getting brand new one few years back, right before they were discontinued at the exchange rate back then the total came up to around $5200. Not including shipping to US.
At the same time I thought that custom Modcan system within the same price range would be more flexible and interesting, just my opinion.

For me that was back in 2008. Right about the time when economy and real estate when to hell. So I never ended up getting M5N and/or Modcan. Decided not to spend money for a while.
But now I'm back to wanting a build a small modular system using dot.com 22 portable case. I don't have much space for anything bigger.

Tempting. Do let me know if it goes up for sale. Cheers!

I sometimes think about selling mine.....when I have neglected it for the eurobitchmonstershedevil.

Then I turn it on......and get lost in a world of sound. It's full of character an can be quite stuborn too...but always sounds...full on?

It's big........but that interface is so great to use.....it's like operating a machine.

Selling M5N for about $4700 US should not be a problem. M5's would be considerably less, not sure what it would be though. I remember reading somewhere that M5 also had much slower envelopes if that's true.

Space is an issue for a lot of people I guess. It is for me at the moment. M5N is definitely huge. But if see M5N for sale I will think very hard about getting it just for fun of having big Semi-Modular.
