ES9 with ES5

Hi,

I currently own an ES9 and I use it with Ableton CV Tools. This has been an awesome and trouble free experience from the moment that I plugged it in.

I would like to be able to send more CV and Gate channels from the computer to my modular but as I understand it the way that it currently works is that the CV/Gate for the ES5 is multiplexed through channels 7&8 of the ES9 and, as such, means that the ES5 channels are not visible to CV Tools.

Assuming that the above is correct, is there any way to provide a driver that will expose any connected ES5s as audio channels (accepting that we would need to be careful to only use them for CV and Gate)?

On a related note, I'm not currently sure how many ES5s are supported by the ES9 - can anyone clarify?

You can add one ES-5 to the ES-9, but to that you can add ESX expanders (e.g. the ESX-8GT for more gates).

You can pass the CV Tools outputs through Silent Way to munge the signals down the stereo pair.

(Well six, but one would then replace the ES-5's own outputs.)

Would be wonderful to have CV Tools support for all of that...
