Sorry to hear that.

I still have everything they ever released on vinyl except for The Damage Done. There was a time when I lived and breathed Sisters of Mercy but I lost interest some years after they stopped releasing new music and started dining out purely on the strength of their previous releases. Something they're still doing and it's been 20 years since Vision Thing.

Cheers,

I haven't heard hide nor hair of them since VT..
The website is a pretty good read though. Funny guy, Eldritch.
Mate of mine works in touring and has been trying to get them over here. That fell through, but word from the inside is that some other promotor has got them to agree to an Aus tour.

Should be interesting..

Hehe, I'll believe it when I see it! Knowing my luck they'll tour here when I'm over in the UK later this year.

Third, I have now tripled the amount of emoticons that I've used since signing up. :goo:

The Reels album is a very interesting inclusion amongst the other company. Great Australian band... couldn't find the classic "Return" from the album you listed on youtube, so here's an earlier one:

its interesting looking through this thread, and how many people basically said they struggled to keep it to 15 (or simply didn't). i had the opposite problem - i couldn't think of 15, mainly because the ones i did pick had such a massive impact on me that others didn't measure up (even though, as it is with everyone, all music you love at some point has some impact on you).

and 4 of the ones i picked aren't even albums, but compilations...

in order of purchase (as far as i remember):

public enemy - apocalypse 91
various - x-static volume 4 - radikal techno
various - in order to dance 4 (r&s records)
aphex twin - selected ambient works 85-92
plastikman - sheet one
various - drum and bass selection vol 3
autechre - garbage ep
various - endless 2 (manifold records)
boards of canada - music has the right to children
maeror tri - language of flames and sound
