I agree, the wait has been too long, I remember when Ken annunced the upcoming M5X, back in Summer 2009, as a substitute for the discontinued M5N.... I'm so sorry this M5X will never see the light.... then the eurorack modules....but now,we're so close to the real thing....

...and since I'm one of the people that badgered him into doing this, I want to make sure I make it into the first run!

I'd go for a self contained unit too, possibly smaller than M5N and with midi interface, but Ken just quit talking about this project, so I guess it will never come out.....Too bad, with modules that shallow, he could really make a small, powerful sounding unit....
Nothing bad, I'll go with his lovely modules  in a portable case with a Kenton PRO 2000 Mk II..... well... I'm pretty sure I'll end up with more than one portable case with his lovely modules :hihi:

Ken where are you? :hmm:

I hope you didn't have an awful lot of Berliner Pilsners. They are great, but we need you here.

It seems like there isn't any waiting list, as much as I know, anyway...
Ken is still thinking about modules prices

...haha! A MacBeth emotocon!!

Ok guys- sorry for the delay in getting back to you about the Mk1 Synth modules. I have certainly not dropped this project- how could I- it is one of my favorites to date. As a 1 man show- I have many things to contend with, recent interest in the micromac unit has diverted my mind somewhat! Anyway- back to the real stuff- things are going well with the 5U Mk1 modules- I had 35 of the Oscillator 'A' produced, 15 of the Osillator 'B' produced, 15 of the Mixer 'A' produced, 32 of the amazing Filter 'A', 15 of the Filter 'B' and 35 of the Mk1 Dual EG with gilbert cell VCA produced.
Oscillator 'A' = £495.00GBP
Oscillator 'B' = £495.00GBP
Mixer 'A'= £350.00GBP
Filter 'A' = £495.00GBP
Filter 'B' = £450.00GBP
Dual EG = £450.00GBP
These prices are for the current limited run. I'm posting this onto facebook shortly...Units are available from about 4-5 weeks after ordering!

I also have to get my website sorted out too!
....blackcelcius- from the feedback that I'm getting- the micromac as the desktop version- may now be like a micromac+
I'm considering a few more features!

Hi Steve- you can order these units now- If you are in the US- talk to Shawn @ Analogue Haven- he intends to support these modules with hin online store- or buy direct from me. I have made the first run extremely limited as you can see!

I'm sure the modules are wonderful, but wow: $775 per oscillator, $775 SVF, $350 per single envelope (plus vca) . . . Congrats, Ken, I think you just claimed the high end of pricing of any format. :hihi:

Cheers,
Brian

Try to buy Modcan from Europe with shipment cost and custom taxes :bang:
and you'll find out how "cheap" are ken's modules

Good point! And who knows how AH's US pricing will fall. We may be adding shipping or import taxes and subtracting VAT yet for all I know. Based on this prices, though, Macbeth easily surpasses Buchla and Serge in cost on a per-function basis.

Cheers,
Brian
