Let me know when you do, I'll be up for one as well.

Might have to get a second Pressure Points as well....

Brains is great. I have been using it with 2 pressure points for a week or so. Very useful 8 step sequencer. If you have a PP, buy it. :sb: :nana: :yay:

Eggcellent! I had forgotten that Tony was working on this. I've only been thinking about Rene. This should keep me busy for a while though. 8_)

You'll need one - says the manual - if you plan on using 8 stages.

so, when no info is being sent to brains, does pp act like it normally would without the brians connection or does the addition/connection of brains forever change the behavior of pp?

PP works normally when Brains is not in use.

Wait, I'm confused about this. How many expander cables do I need if I plan on using two Pressure Points with my Brains? Is there more than one way to setup this configuration? Can you, for instance, choose between 2 individual PPs+brains and 2 chained PPs+brains?

I think it would make more sense that you can get 4 stages from one PP, and 8 stages if you have two PPs chained. 3x4, 3x8 sequencers.

You just need one chain cable to connect the 2 pressure points modules. Each module has 4 stages. Each module has it's own 'EXPND' cable to connect to the Brains. I'm assuming the Brains module will come with 2 of these. If not it looks like they're 10 pin IDC connector ribbons.
Seems like if you're using the brain you pretty much want to have them set up as only 2 chained together - may be wrong. Check out the connection setup in the manual http://www.makenoisemusic.com/BRAINSManual.pdf

Looks fantastic, but will this not work with my 4 Pressure Points? The manual and description seems to indicate that it's only for 1 or 2 PP's...

OMG it just so happens that I have 4 hp open next to my PP!! gotta get this. I'm looking at a row of a 154/155 combo, a PP and now this!

hmmm since I'm planning 2 155 sequencers, I could move the 154 up a row and fit another PP in there... but can you do less than max steps easily with this? I'm not familiar with the PP yet but I assume there will be a(n easy) way

BRAINS ships with ALL necessary cables for expansion to either 1 or 2 Pressure Points.

The CHAIN cable is only needed for CHAINing 2 or more Pressure Points WITHOUT a BRAINS.

Cheers,

Tony

So just to be clear, with the chain cable and a Brains, it's possible to use 4 PP's with Brains

No, the CHAIN cable as a Pressure Points accessory has nothing to do with BRAINS. The CHAIN connector (on backside of the Pressure Points PCB) IS used for expansion with BRAINS when 2 Pressure Points are CHAINED to create an 8 stage sequencer, but the cable needed do that is included with BRAINS.

If you want to make a 16 key controller out of 4 Pressure Points, grab a CHAIN cable. If you want to expand the capabilities of one or two Pressure Points to include sequencing, get a BRAINS.

Maximum number Pressure Points that may be expanded with BRAINS is 2, minimum number is 1.

You will be surprised how useful the 4 stage sequencer is... I know I was.
