I have a couple of Synthrotek PSU's, the older 5A and the Deluxe Power (not the latest version) and they've been behaving very nicely and I had no issues with them, they could easily hold up to the spec's so maybe there's something wrong with yours?

Definitely a possibility. I've had at least a few times where it's had some issues starting up. Take out 1 module it starts up just fine. I tested multiple things, so it doesn't seem module specific.

Anyways, PSU might be problematic, but the case itself it great. I might consider just getting an empty one and different supply, anyways.

so, you have one of the later versions with over current protection? Do you have any Metsonix or other Tube modules? They tend to need a lot more mA during startup so the system might shut off :despair: anyways, there's plenty of other PSU's to choose from when making a portable case.

built mine in to a Chicago Case Co. #95-8594.

its a "military" tool box. luckily I got it for free so I didn't feel bad gutting it out to put my synth in.

I would like to build one out of a 1510 protector that I have. I was thinking about making a wooden case that would fit inside with foam around it for impact protection.

I bought the case for my live gear and found it's too small, but it is the maximum size for airline carry on luggage, so I might as well stick some eurorack in it.

Any advice there? Not sure how to figure out the dimensions and power supply. Its going to be my first case.

Can someone quickly point me in the right direction for something that I could figure out the dimensions of a case I could fit inside the Pelican 1510? Google has found nothing on the idea for me. If I can figure it out, believe me I'm gonna upload a how-to.

If anyone on the UK/Europe is after one, I'm selling my Synthrotek case with a brand new Delux power, drop me a line...

Some of you might be interested in Nanuk cases, similar to Pelican type cases.

I've only used them for camera lenses but they are quite nice. Some of the larger wheeled ones have removable lids.

Most of them have a little ledge on the inside lip with screw points so possibly great for DIYers making integrated instruments and possibly for modular synths . . . maybe attach thin pieces of angle aluminum to the left and right lips and then attach rails to the angle aluminum?

Please share the files!!! This is awesome!!!

here you go man. enjoy

Hi there - thanks so much for sharing the 3d file. I can't see the .stl file on google drive, would you mind sharing it? Also, I'm struggling to understand how this fits in the case - are the two holes meant for attaching the bracket to the case? Then how does the rails attach to the bracket?

Thanks!!
