Is there a unique phrase your family uses for your modular?

Anything modular synth-related that is not format-specific.

The entire synth is referred to as a blooper, while the individual modules are known as bloops.

My wife used to call it the Christmas Tree, but lately it's been called
"The Pain Machine". Once when I was tuning up a DIY MFOS VCO, she referred to it as "The worst few days of my life"!

My wife calls it one of our synthesizers.
We had synth music at our wedding. I did the prelude, she did the processional, and we collaborated on the recessional.
She has a bigger studio than I do.

Although my studio is called the nursery, because that’s what the previous owners used it for.

I have a travel case that I use around the house and my wife calls it a "computer." As in, "can you please move your computer."

My girlfriend uses the verb 'muff wiggling'. She often encourages me to switch on the boxes when it has been a while since i last played. She is awesome.

my wife called it "your Synergy" for years even though it was an ever changing pile of stuff and the synergy left long ago. Now she calls it "your keyboards" though I would appreciate it if she said, "you're playing your Gotharman's Fuzion again?" or "did you spend all day practicing poly stabs on your Sh-01a?"

my father in law calls it 'the telephone exchange',
my daughter calls it 'can I touch this button?',
my wife has just a big smile on her face and uses no word!

My wife entered my music room to gently redirect me after I’d been jamming too loud for too long. I turned around just in time to see her sour expression after I patched a cable into an unattenuated fm input.

“Wrong hole,” she said.

My family doesn’t have a specific name for my modular or other music gear, but my 4 year old daughter will ask to play with the Wogglebug from Make Noise. She finds the sounds it outputs absolutely hilarious!

I have a spare bedroom that we have long called "The Band Room" since for years I was playing in traditional bands (guitar/bass/drums/vox). That room has been unused for a while, but I've re-organized it since getting into modular. Now I have a desk / workstation and we call the room "The Office".

But we still can't settle on a term we like for what I'm doing in there.

My oldest daughter refers to the entire thing as the µJack (which is the output module). She does it to F with me. Every time a package comes in the mail, she asks if I got a new µJack, or if I spend time on it, she'll ask how the µJack is sounding today, etc. It's a pure wind-up, and makes me laugh every time. I've willed it to her.
