Hey, thanks for asking. It's going!
An issue found during beta testing led to some changes that required another prototype to fully validate. That's in progress now, and hopefully that will be the final iteration of the hardware before going into production.
Also, to answer the question that jschussler asked, the plan is still to offer both the 12hp and 18hp versions.

Definitely committed to releasing these, it's just taken longer than expected to get a new round of prototypes finished, so there hasn't been any new info to post.
One reason for the longer timeline is that some of the circuitry was simplified in order to use the same backplane on both the 18hp and 12hp versions. This should also make it possible to release a 6hp version (see below).
Thanks for the bump, it's encouraging to know that people are interested. I want these modules in my system more than anyone, haha.

Does it have some kind of reset function, to reset to the first gate of the saved sequence? This is one thing that I feel is missing from the original MTM Turing Machine.

All three prototypes are done... along with the Variant expander (which was formerly called Allele). Just fine-tuning a few things. Will refrain from making any predictions of release date other than "soon" (haha) but things are looking good overall with this version of the hardware.
An idea of the price for eah yet ?

Not yet, will announce pricing when they're up for preorder and/or shipping.Eurtrude wrote:An idea of the price for each yet ?
All three versions use the same "backpack" (the panel PCB for each version only includes the jacks, pots, LEDs, and switches).listentoaheartbeat wrote:Will the 6hp version include expansion headers for the binary outputs?
The backpack includes the GATES header which can either be connected to the original TM Voltages expander or the new Variant expander. The PULSES header is excluded, because it would be redundant on the 12hp and 18hp versions.
So you can connect Voltages to any version of Permutation, or connect Variant to any version of the Turing Machine. They are all compatible with each other.
