What kind of music do you want to make?

Anything modular synth-related that is not format-specific.

I have been making dark ambient/death industrial for almost 22 years now with Subklinik, Berlin School style with Romannis Mötte, power electronics with both PMK and Torturecide, and I've been fairly prolific with all of it.

The best way to create:
Sit down at your gear and just do it.

I came from playing guitar and always being a big lover of Jungle, footwork, and some faster electronic stuff. I played in all sorts of doom, shoegaze, and math rock bands. I still consider myself more of a guitarist and as of late play my guitar much much more than my synths.

I've been messing around with synths for like 4-5 years and I got into modular like 2 years ago and honestly it's been a back and forth. I sometimes feel more inspired from my regular synths and tend to make more actual music with them. I feel like with my modular I end up dicking around, and honestly I enjoy the DIY aspect of modular more than I enjoy the modular itself. The ambient and bleep bloopy stuff has never caught my attention but the look and feel of modular got me.

I often see the limit and the infinite potential in the modular, but only because I feel that way about any and all instruments. The thing that keeps me selling and returning is the fact that it is pretty pricey for me imo.
