Another run of "Best of CGS" panels.

Post by mono-poly »

Hey Guys

I'm gonna try and do another run of 25 Best Of CGS panels.
These are panels designed by member Zthee and uses Ken Stone boards.
The price is set to 70 euro including worldwide shipping.
This price is set this way due a miscalculation in the past run.
And i added a few euro to the price so i can buy something for Zthee who did the panels.

So give me a shout when you want one.
And i really need to get aprox 25 panels on order to make this happen.

The monney collecting will be done half July and the order done first of August.

I'm kinda tempted to change some things on the layout (esp. the oscillators) since I for example find the pulse divider on the extended VCO doesn't really "do it" for me..

I'll see if I can come up with an alternate design, and you'll guys decide if you'll stick with the old one or go with the new one. (Oh, and I still really want to change the 2 VCS into 1 DSG... free up one row and turn the VCA/Mixer into just a mixer and then add a DUAL VCA - think that would be so much better!).

I will be in for one and might ever prefer a variation in design as I have the original already. Depending on if the variation occurs and what it contains I may grab 2.

I've didn't get one of the original myself, but I've got 2 panels with similar modules. So I know what I would change (which I think would be better). A few thoughts regarding freeing up space around important knobs, and removing never used functions.

But as usual; I'll draw it and we'll see what happens.

Thats enough DSG's !

I think that the DSG's is a bit limited in fine tuning,to master the module like you want the need for a dedicated fall and rise CV level control is crucial.

zthee--those changes sound good. at the risk of opening a can of worms, i'd also suggest swapping out the suboscillator for a filter (the new serge filter, or dual steiners), and dropping the ASR for a simple mixer or mix/processor. selfishly, this would be great for those of us who got in on the first batch (doubling up core modules but giving more variety across the more unusual ones) while still being very capable as a single unit.

I will take one, if the Slope, ASR and the Wavemultiplier stay in.

I also like the idea of dedicated fall and rise CV level controls and swapping the subosc for a Serge or Steiner filter.
