Looks like an interesting take certainly, handy to have the gate and envelope follower crammed in there too.

I have to say though, once postage and VAT are added, it's about £20ish more expensive than I could justify spending right now on it seeing as I already have a Mikrophonie and enough other modules to cudge it together.

Does this replace the original Mikorphonie, I couldn't see it on the site anymore (although possibly my bad searching)?

why black though..???? I have a serious colour OCD thing with my cases, how am I supposed to put this black module next to all the white Mutables..??

I guess it's black because of the golden copper color. Black and gold is beautiful no?

The front panel has to be a PCB-panel - the copper rings are conductive. Given that, the colour of the module is restricted to being what you can get PCBs as at reasonable rates. Black is a reasonable compromise given some of the other colours available.

(In short: no, you can't have a greyscale panel).

Yea, this would look fine beside the black make noise touch controllers 8-)
I'm in need for an envelope follower/gate extractor but already got the mikrophonie.
So this and trying to sell the mikrophonie or level up and buy the xaoc sewastopol while keeping the mikrophonie for its contact mic

Not strictly true assuming that it's the same deal as the OG Mikrophonie.

The contact mic is simply fixed to the back of the panel behind the copper swirl, while the swirl does obviously give you a texture to rub against it's not conductive or integral in the electronic sense, you could basically do the same thing by fixing/cutting/scoring *anything* on *any* type of panel.

Obviously it likely won't look so pretty though.

Well, I was going to sell my Mikrophonie to get a 116 and then just build a piezo preamp but this looks like the solution to my problem!
