What a beautiful setup! It's bringing me a lot of joy to think that you are belly down on the rug playing your synths in a swimming motion, alternating between dolphin and scissor kicks on the taurus.

What I can't get over is how minimalist and tidy everyone is. My gear always has a ton of random stuff behind and around it (cables, both power and signal, overflow modules, electronic component baggies, spare bits of gear, tools...)

It's not too hard to have one small corner of the house neat and tidy enough every once in a while so we can take a picture! :hihi:

I fired up my Modcan after it sat in the closest for a few years before finding a new PSU for it. Been playing with flat cables to provide better access to the knobs. Still hope to find a 4VCA someday, replace one of the dual LFOs with another filter, and have a custom wood case built with the PSU on the back.

They are Ernie Ball flat cables. I bought some 3" versions for guitar pedals which were great and thought they may work for modular so I bought a couple of their 10 cable packs that have a mix of lengths. I think it worked out to about $7 per cable. They work pretty well but those right angle cables you posted recently from the UK may be just as good or better because the cable looks a bit more flexible as well as thinner. I may need to get some Dotcom A cables for the times where I can't fit the flat angle into a tight spot. I really like the cables out of the way and if I get a case built, I may opt for a single row even if it means some compromises (like removing midi or mounting the midi on the back to save on width.

Are they these? I've been looking at these for a few years now ... no idea about whether or not they're worth the money.

Squareplug .... there used to be a number of sizes/configurations.

EDIT: I was digging around in my hard drive looking for the picture of these Squareplugs ... meanwhile it seems they've been properly identified while I was goofing off making this post.

The Ernie Balls look narrower than those SquarePlugs. The width is just a bit less than the jack skirt on my Modcan while those look larger than the jack skirt by a few mm. But I do like how those have the cable tucked under the plug head.
