Ya know, I've been where you are at and it is really frustrating, confusing and disappointing to get more than 3 or so modules at once. It really kills your focus. As a caring senior Muff member . . . ( "muff member" :hihi: we are ALL Muff members! :nana: ) . . . I'll take that delay and scanner off of your hands for a while so you don't get over whelmed and I'll write up some nice instructions and give them back to you soon. I'll have to meet you at Startbucks though since I will be moving . . somewhere else . . .shortly . . :ninja:

The future is coming sooner than expected - I just ordered the Quantizer from Bruce and he said it will be ready in a couple of weeks (before the end of the month).

I haven't used the quantizer but I like the design a lot, sort of an improved miniwave!

it has little to do with the miniwave other than quantizer function.

I don't know anything about the guts of the module, are you suggesting it's not reading wavetables?

55A quantizer

http://www.modcan.com/modhtml/Quantizer.html

Dual Mode operation

Mode 1: Functionally equivalent to a Sample and Hold.
Voltage step will only change with a rising edge pulse or trigger applied to the CLOCK input jack.
Unique design requires no hold capacitor.
Result is zero 'droop' and infinite hold.
Ideal use of mode 1 is in conjunction with a sequencer.
The sequencer gate bus can be used to initiate the sampling
of each sequencer step.

Mode 2: No-Clock or free mode.
Voltage step output changes automatically when the input crosses the conversion threshold determined by the scale selected.
This is the mode users will be familiar with when using the MiniWave to quantize. The one difference here is that with each transition a 5ms pulse is output from the PULSE out jack. This provides the ability to trigger envelopes or logic inputs in synch with step changes.
A technique called hysteresis has been applied so no cross boundary dither will be heard as the quantizer tries to decide which note to quantize to, as on the MiniWave. This makes is possible to use with slow changing input voltages. A feature not found on any other quantizer available.

yeah, when I read that it sounds like a miniwave that outputs triggers as each new value is output plus a switch that inserts a sample and hold just before the output, plus it has 3 banks instead of two. maybe I just read it that way because I have a miniwave.

I LOVE my miniwave but have thought it wasn't full featured enough. I actually wanted a cv'able mix knob, but Bruce's features are really good too!

you can have UPS hold the package and then you can pick it up. UPS counter on swan island (which is where most packages come from) is open until 7pm.

it's on Basin avenue.
