I'm getting something on channels 1,3, 4 and 6 (but knobs etc have no effect and I can't really what's happening with 2 or 5). Still no lights of any kind except for the button turning orange on power up

Ok - I have retested and I have signal on 1,2,3,4 and 6 but something must be wrong with 5. Turning the knobs appears to change the output on the working channels and the button seems to correctly switch from 1-3 to 4-6 but I've still got no lights of any kind (other than the button)

ok, but that means the CPU is doing something as well as IC5 and IC6. now for all the LEDs, the signal passes through IC9 which was presoldered. I dont want to rule out I made a mistake there, can you check the soldering on that IC?

Ok - looks like there was something wrong with ic9 - reflowed it and I've got some action on the led panel now... Still a few issues but that's probably just my soldering on the LEDs which I should be able to sort out now :)

Any idea when you'll have more boards in, av500? Been itching to build circles for a while :)

My EC v2 just stopped giving me the last 23 LEDs. Everything else seems to be alright. Funny thing tho, I haven't done anything to it since I used it last time, it was just racked and waiting for two month or so when I finally found some time to make some sound once more. Are those LEDs known to be somewhat sensitive, maybe I discharged some static when passing and lightly brushing along my rack? But that'd be the only thing I could think of really...
I still have spare LEDs, but I'm not at all keen on desoldering.

It happened to me as well, typically because the last working LED (or the one before) had a loose solder joint (being paranoid while soldering them, I really used a minimum of solder). Try gently pushing it towards the PCB at the four corners (or insert a screwdriver to improve the contact between LED end solder pad), and see if it makes a difference (you'll see the lights come on immediately if there is an impact). So far, never had to desolder, always worked by reflowing this one LED.
Why, say she now, is I not glean that one may say of thing while thing is not.

Seems that was it. Funny, as I haven't touched it since last time, and I'm usually good at soldering, being a major part of my day job and all...
But I'm happy it was an easy fix. Thanks!
Now back to enjoying those flashy lights 8-)

Hi,

are a Euclidean Circles DIY Kit and a Six Switches Full Kitt still available?

Ok, can you estimate how long it might take?

Here's a demo of the version 1.9 Euclidean Circles. I love this module!

Same here, waiting for the new run on this great trigger sequencer, staying in line. :guinness:

Okay, I have a chance to get a second EC v2 for very cheap and I have some room in my case too. So, that said, what could I get away with with 2 EC's? I mean, would it be too redundant to have two of these considering I have the FH-2 with GT expander to provide Euclidean triggers? What would you do? I don't feel as I I absolutely need the second unit but my buddy will sell it to me for a fraction of what one goes for new. As for now, I have solely used my EC for triggering drums via the Bitbox.

well in that case it might be a bit redundant.
I love using the module, it's in every patch. and I have the possibility to get euclidean triggers from other modules, like the Disting, the O&C, but I've never felt the need. it would look nice in your rack though...

Just built the V2, what would be the best way for running startup diagnostics, and (since this is my only euro-type module so far), what's the best way to power it up directly from a 5V wall wart? I have power running into the 5V/Gnd holes on the PCB; is it necessary to power via the ribbon cable, and if so, which pin is -?
Tks!

cheers

also wondering what the 3.3v hole between the 5v and gnd is for...

Hello team!

I just put together a Euclidean Circles V2 and one of the ring leds are coming on. The G button and all 3 encoders light up and change when pressed.

Where can I look to see why the LEDs are working? I made sure to align the notches in each one, btw..

Thanks in advance!

Nvm! It was IC 9. Reflowed it and all good now. But boy are those leds bright!

Hi,
I'm also interesting in a pcb/panel kit + 6 swithes.
Thank you for this great tool.
