It's great. Easy to figure out and navigate everything. Quantizers may take a bit for me to remember but thats no big deal. Sliders are absolutely great.

Only thing I'd wish for is a way for the live display of the parameters adjusted to display longer during play but it's not a big thing.

The fact that play modes are per track is very neat. Such a thorough module.

Any chance you could post a picture of the back of the module ?

Hold down INIT and press the CLOCK MODE button. This feature is not advertised because the current function is not completely accurate - it'll be "official" once its performance is improved.

Is 'compare' something that falls under this as well?

I wonder if the Kermit' frequency knobs completly closed if it's in Tune just like the Piston Honda & Hertz Donut MKII as mentionned in the manual !?! A seocnd Kermit would be a great addition once I get the Stillson MKII :yay:

Great minds Robo

Whilst we are on the subject ( i have tried to use a tuner)

On the Hertzz Donut ... Where would you expect to put the fine tuning ?
All the way left or 12 ?

Hi governor, what about my questions ?

- Is there some shuffle/swing feature ?
- How will the firmware update procedure be performed ? Is there some microSD card at the back or USB port ?

I didn't see any microSD. Saw a chip and crystal, so I'm guessing update procedures would be similar to the MI line, via .wav if I had to guess and I do.

I just got my Stillson Hammer MK2 today, and I am absolutely in love with it. It's so fluid, and easy to use, and I haven't even explored most of it's features. Probably one of the best modules I have bought. Thanks governor.

I presume firmware updates will be the same as the other Harvestman module with the Pickit and/or with the pickit adaptor

Just started experimenting with this thing in depth this morning - I'm pretty blown away by the possibilities...

That said, I have been having some trouble getting Assignable Controller B to work. When I hold down button B, I can activate steps and pages with the sliders and page buttons, respectively. However, I see no changes when applying CV to the input or turning the knob (or both simultaneously). Controller A seems to be working fine for both CV in and knob operation.

Has anyone else seen this?

I think ... When you assign cv the faders are attenuators for the cv leval per step... Maybe you have them turned down on b ?

Hello,

- Our model 2401 "ENGLISH TEAR" provides the conversion circuits described here.
- The "delay" page allows you to offset the start of a step's gate event forward in time. If you assign this to one of the external CV channels, you may achieve a variable "swing" function.
- You use a Pickit2/3, a USB device with a special program to upload the firmware file to the module.

That's what I am thinking. Try holding down the "B" cv button while moving the sliders, and then using your CV or manual knob. It would be unusual for both the manual knob and CV input to be simultaneously malfunctioning, as they are part of different circuits.

I appreciate the assist from both of you, and I'm pretty sure it is something on my end. I managed to get a response out of the bipolar knob and second CV, but it wasn't what I initially expected. I'll keep working with it.

I'll say it again: this thing is amazing and very deep.

I'm having a hard time understand what I am doing with the assignable controllers, but I've generated some responses. I'll learn.

Thanks for your replies. Would you care to share a link to where we can buy one of those please ?

It may be cheaper to send to a retailer that offers the upgrade, not much, but some.

I may replace my rene with this. I would need a good gate sequencer to make the rene shine, but this would provide me with way more sequencing power for much less space (and it would still be cheaper).
Does the ext clock behave like an analog sequencer? Can I just send a shuffled clock or any pattern in it?

Yes you can . Exactly that in fact .

The way you can easily modulate x y on the rene you may miss .. They both have different strengths...
