Apart from the first run of Braids panels (prior to Feb 2015), the panels actually will accommodate pots with M9 threads (i.e. ALPS RK09L).Monobass wrote:Do you mean an M9 thread? No I don't think so.lcf wrote:Will M9 pots fit into these panels please?
The 9mm pots that I sell have an M7 thread (as pretty much 9mm pot out there have) and they fit fine.
Hello adam, these look exciting, especially the tester, as I have just been using my case's power for testing, and it's full now.
I would like to buy 1 each of:
Module Tester PCB
Module Tester Chip
Tides PCB
Shipped all together (when the tester chip gets in). Im in Hawaii, in the US. Thank you!

Just a heads-up to prospective buyers of the boards being advertised in this thread: Olivier Gillet, owner of and chief designer at Mutable Instruments, has just (as in, on 15th Nov 2015) released updated versions of the PCBs for quite a few of his designs. I haven't checked what the changes are for all of these, but they are almost certainly just tweaks, mostly related to removing the need for separate +5V power, but there may be some other improvements. For example, the changes to the Braids design also dispenses with the centre detent pots, and most importantly, uses one of the built-in ADC channel on the CPU chip for the FM input, so that when the FM input is used for other things, such as in META mode, the fine-tune knob will still work - that's a significant improvement. There have been no firmware updates released at the same time, so that all improvements are purely hardware-related.
The GitHub repository for all this is at https://github.com/pichenettes/eurorack
The modules with updated PCBs are:
Braids
Branches
Clouds
Edges
Links
Peaks
Ripples
Tides
I'll do a comparison of each of these with the previous version when I get a chance, but others may wish to do so before that, so they can make better informed purchasing decisions about the PCBs offered here, many of which may now be superseded, although of course, they will still perfectly functional - all the MI firmware is backwardly compatible with earlier hardware iterations of the same module.

No, the changes appear to be more extensive than just changing the type of jack sockets used. The changes to Braids, which result in functional improvements, I've noted above.
The change to Clouds from v0.2 to v0.3 appears to be the addition of a separate crystal to clock the WM8731 codec, instead of it being clocked by the MPU. Not sure what the effect of this change is, but presumably it results in a functional improvement - Olivier would not make a change that adds additional components to the design unless it actually improved things.
I'll examine the rest in due course. I suspect that there are more than just jack socket changes to Grids.
