i posted this in clouds thread too (sorry for posting twice), but here's video i made two days ago, the pdo is the only vco that is audible in this video, and it's raw and unfiltered (well mostly, there's a little reverb), the filters and other vco's are only used for modulation purposes to the pdo.

at 3:00 min in i flip the triple bipolar vca heavily towards the external modulation side so make sure you listen to that part!

thanks guys! i believe it was a sine wave from my wmd spectrum, going through a filter and into the bipolar vca. the filter was modulated from maths.

here's another video with the pdo, this time being used for the kick drum and the sound that rings out after the kick. lots of modulation from the spectrum vco's sine wave which is also being modulated by a triangle lfo, witch i change the rate and amplitude in the video. check it out!! modulargrid patch notes at the end too!

Very nice, brandonlogic! Loved both vids. Excellent patching and cool song development..
:yay:

It's taken months for me to find the TBVCA and QAAF. But, the final module in my quest (PDO) should arrive this week.

BTW, I really liked the SMR wiggling in the first video!

Thanks! I don't know if it's severely under rated or just not well known, or maybe it doesn't get noticed because it's not as flashy visually as other vco's but this is one fine oscillator that's often overlooked these days I feel. I got this instead of going the dual oscillator route like the DPO, verbos or sputnik dual and have no regrets.
The triple bipolar vca is also an awesome and extremely useful module on its own!

please correct me if I'm wrong but I think I heard about a jumper on the back that selects a different set of waveforms than standard, is this true?

I haven't tried it yet but yes some waveforms can be changed by jumpers on the back. Check out the manual: http://www.wmdevices.com/pdomkiimanual.pdf

PDO is amazing, and my go-to bass and "angry" VCO.
Also an awesome LFO. :tu:

brandonlogic - that was some seriously cool shit. :nana:

P.S. The jumper lets you select waveforms "between" the knob labels. They are a mix of what is on either side. Frankly I rarely venture beyond Sine - it just has such a great "folding the folded foldyness" I can listen to for hours.
