Only one patch, without intervention.
The trigger riot trigs the Kick on Braids.
The kick goes in the echophon and in parallel in the Korgasmatron.
The metropolis command the pitch of the Kick.
The triger Riot trigs the Brane. ( the clave like sound )
The ER101 is the master for the Tides in sheep version.
An Lfo from the sequencer 1 modify the shape on tides.
All that with some ErbeVerb[/url]

and i didn't notice any difference when playing around with it.High/Mid/Low button still does the same thing.
so i'd say yes, the frequency ranges seem to be the same.
what i really, really, really would wish me,pichenettes wrote:It's technically possible, but what?
is to have also a PLL mode within sheep.
same as Tides or more advanced or probably as a standalone firmware as a full baked PLL mode , ---> with CV .
well, best would be both, PLL within sheep and as a full baked standalone firmware

i just installed Sheep and have had a try. Sheep is very immediate in use.pichenettes wrote:I will check what I can do with the PLL mode. My goal was to cut down everything to make room for the waves, all the waves, nothing but the waves, though
Good work Olivier ! much thanks !.
....you know, these little surprises are allways welcome.
to buy a module or to get an unexpected surprise IS NOT THE SAME
.......it would be very welcome.pichenettes wrote:I will check what I can do with the PLL mode.

Haven´t dived deeper into Tides yet, especially PLL mode, reason I might have overlooked its features, then if the clock input isn´t used in standard mode, couldn´t it simply act like a sync input?

This what Trigger input for. Although synced Sheep somehow sounds quieter and quieter the higher You crank it's frequency. This is not the case with the original firmware.moofi wrote:if the clock input isn´t used in standard mode, couldn´t it simply act like a sync input?
Can't wait for my second Tides, hope to get it in two days
Isn´t trigger like reset? Then I was referring to the original firmware like the initial question from radiokoala did.
If I´m mixing something up like in the original firmware trigger possibly acts like sync, couldn´t the clock input still be used for resetting or vice versa if I don´t mix things up?

Had high hopes for this and was even thinking I might buy a second Tides to have as a dedicated Sheep module, but after playing with it just now it doesn't seem to make timbres that I really dig unfortunately...
Seems like I might the only one though!
In saying that though, I'm very thankful that you are making bonus goodies like this for us Olivier

did you try all three banks of wavetables?zam wrote:Had high hopes for this and was even thinking I might buy a second Tides to have as a dedicated Sheep module, but after playing with it just now it doesn't seem to make timbres that I really dig unfortunately...
and play around with the filter/waveshaper knob?
here is a semi-random selection of five clips i recorded while beginning to explore sheep during the holidays. all audio is sheep bipolar output, sequenced by microbrute and modulated by tides in pll mode (in some cases sent thru doepfer a148 for stepped modulation). no effects, just raw and dry sheep.
that's more like it!moofi wrote:Yes, sounds like an additional Tides eventually :-)
[edit: ascription of quote corrected]
absolutely. as most of tides/sheep's cv inputs don't have an attenuator, it's a good idea to have a shades, triatt, atatat, a-183-1, or similar right next to it.zam wrote:I dunno, maybe its the sort of thing that requires very subtle modulation?
if you don't only want continuous drones, but also play sequenced notes, an a148 or other s&h would also be a useful addition.
here is a pic of the little mobile tides & sheep setup i was using to get to know sheep a little better while visiting my parents' over the holidays:

i think this would also be one good way of answering the frequently asked question: 'so i got a microbrute and would like to dip my toe into eurorack. what's a good way to get me started?'
