This modular is definitely a fail. Too few Cwejman and Intellijel modules. Too much boring Doepfer and no knob replacements (RDJ should have access to some people how would be keen to replacing the knobs instead of kissing him where the sun doesn't shine).

Also no Shapeshifter and Metropolis so completely out of date.
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: ;)
I wouldn't have thought this was it all…………..Would you :despair:

I think one of my old Oberheims ended up with him a few years ago.

I imagine he's still got a LOT of other stuff and with systems this size, you can hardly have them all lined up for a photo. Doesn't surprise me at all that he's got a decent sized Euro system either, considering he's owned most of the big vintage modulars.

The video description from 7 years back says this:

"The current owner of this particular instrument has gone quite some way to maxing its potential ;-)"

Make of it what you will, but it would suite AFX's skills and his Analord series that was released in 2005.

Makin' me feel like I'm back in high school again.

It's funny reflecting on it all, now that the techniques he used on his early stuff are now commonplace. What a trailblazer he was.

That has got to be one of my fav pics in a while. RDJ and a Synthi 100! That grin on his face says it all. In my mind there is a secret society of Synthi 100 owners who get together in ceremonial robes and make amazing music. Well at least JD and RDJ now.

Considering how much he accomplished with just a MPC and a 303, I'd say that is plenty to keep him rocking.

I have still got that sticker! I could never bear to stick it to something so it stays on a bookshelf for all to see. Happy days!
