The Clariphonic is a parallel EQ, which gives rather different results than in line (serial) processing. You could try that technique with any EQ (use a mixer send / return), of course it will sound different, but maybe fun to apprehend the idea.

I'm a firm believer in mixbus processing (for the type of music I make, which is mostly electronic). I use an Overstayer Stereo Voltage Control and Hoef Audio Dynamic Master and love them both. I'm sure I would use a Clariphonic in between the two all the time if I had one :hihi: I'm eyeing an Overstayer MAS to fill a similar role.

Maybe another semi-useful post, but hey at least no plugins mentioned

Cheers :guinness:

It'll be a while, got a concert and then it's Superbooth time, but I'll try to plug a mix on it as soon as possible. I'm psyched!

I happened to notice this aside and wondered if you'd be willing to share what you came across? I looked into it some and wasn't able to find anything I'd describe as fairly inexpensive.

Hope you're liking your Clariphonic!

Hey Narxistdan, I have been looking into M/S encoder and decoders for a bit and it seems the commercially available options are pretty limited, avenson audio mid-sider and IGS Audio Bison 500 are the only things i find under 1k usd... "fairly inexpensive" hmmm... :,)
