This module was already discussed in a thread with superbooth 22 announcements along several other modules - as the module is now out (well shipping to retailers) it is time to create a dedicated thread

Murmuring, singing, screaming, and howling, the Banshee Reach delivers a very large panel of sounds. The module’s heart is based on a triangle core VCO with thru zero frequency/phase modulation capabilities. Besides delivering independently the typical analog waveforms, the Banshee Reach has a vari output combining a continuously variable waveform crossfading with a sub octave generator.

The analog core has been completed with a digital control for frequency locking and octave transposition, which makes the Banshee Reach really performance oriented. LFO mode, hard or soft sync, digital noise modulation and PWM complete this rich feature list. Compact and powerful, the Banshee Reach is a VCO suited for west coast, east coast synthesis and many more!

Proud owner of Bard Quartet (+ Expand), Triple Steeple and Hipass here. Shakmat has quickly become one of my favorite manufacturers and I've been eyeing on the release of Banshee Reach and Jeweler Cast for a while. Definitely gonna check this one out!

I forgot to say: I'm excited even for just the name of this module. The banshee is a well known supernatural entity in Ireland, and is very much a part of our pre-Christian heritage. My own grandfather swears he saw one as a young man, wailing outside the house of a neighbour who died the next day.

I hope this module makes killer sounds, but nobody dies from using it!

We did not know this myth was still strong the last century - we thought it was more of a middle age belief

We're a very superstitious people! For example, there are lots of places in Ireland where you will see a tree or a large stone in a field surrounded by crops or cattle. Normally the field would be fully cleared, but some are called fairy forts, and the belief is that if you disturb a fairy fort they will take revenge on you and your family!

The wail of The Banshee crying outside your window (while combing her hair) is still told to our children. That's why I can't wait to make the Banshee Reach wail! Of course, for a true banshee, it should have a COMB filter in it

It remembers me my trip to Iceland they had the same things with elves Ireland is still on my to do list by the way !

Would love to hear a demo of Through Zero FM on the varishape output with a bit of sub mixed in before I pull the trigger though!
