What a superb recreation of a classic. I have owned 2 JP6's in my life. The one I have now, I have owned for over 20 years. Featured on countless tracks over the past 30 years I have worked on. The Cherry Audio Mercury-6 is impeccably accurate. Every nuance and JP6 imperfections are still there. Super snappy, but click envelopes (love em), Cross mod and sync options, stacking waveforms, all exactly as the original. Even down to where the faders area set too. But the real gem of it, all the extra features they have added. Velocity to envelopes, midi syncable LFO's, 10 note poly, layering of two sounds. SO cool what they have done. For the price it is a no brainer. I have spent the best part of this last week re-creating all my fav presets from my hardware original. They are amazingly close, but with all the extra whistle and bells for performance added.

It is son funny how underrated the JP6 has always been. For me it has suck a wider scope of tones and textures compared to the JP8. So much more aggressive, metallic sounding, and just more techno, if that makes sense.

A beautiful recreation.

Yes i've always liked the JP-6 over the 8. I think the 8 is way over hyped and way over priced. So i'm really glad they decided to do the 6. Arturia would have charged $200 for this plug in without hesitation, Cherry Audio has proved those prices are unnecessary.
