I don’t think I updated my own build here lately, no.
I did finish my build BUT in the end, the keybed that I found on the curb years ago was a poor choice. I never was able to keep the contact springs in working order even when using the best DeOxit. Also the weight of the thing made it fairly immobile.
So I decided to pull the two finished panels and scrap the keybed.
A third panel is in progress which will house the quad active processor and some other things like a quadrature LFO and a quad of slope generators and a quad comparator.
A fourth 2U panel is also planned which will have some reverb drivers , phasers and balanced outs.
I haven’t really been very active lately though but here is what it looks like lately;

That's a pretty unique looking build. I'll bet it sounds amazing. Good luck completing your expansions!

That looks awesome

... why buy it for $100 when you can build it yourself for $150?

That looks cool.. although I have the impression it might be a bit difficult to keep that "now where was that XY module?!" overviewjohnstilton wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 7:43 pmI haven’t really been very active lately though but here is what it looks like lately;

Here is my MFOS Ulti+Exp in its new house. Built from naturally felled maple from a friend's land. He did a rough plane on the maple and I did some extra-dimensional planing at my pops' wood shop to get it smooth and flat. It turned out to look like kindergarten furniture, the blonde wood with beveled edges for soft impressionable heads. Me too haha.

That is a beauty indeed
.
However, not including the 1/4 inch jack adapter panels might make it a bit more difficult to connect the instrument with external devices such as a sequencer, a keyboard or a mixer input.

Thank You! The sub-panels with those are on the back side

Re: Soundlab Ultimate & Ultimate Expander build thread
Ah, thanks! Might be a bit inconvenient to access imho, but then it doesn't affect the banana-only

Anyway, the Soundlab Ultimate is a wonderful and great sounding instrument
