The video was made with a bunch of old circuit bent video gear from the 90s.

I imagine we'll try and make at least another one or two tracks like this. It was kinda fun!

Some of the best sounding tracks being made are in this genre+various subgenres.
I'd love to know all the rigs people use for production but it's MOSTLY a very faceless thing.. some of the most known people (like Vektroid aka Macintosh Plus aka PrismCorp aka..) there's not much about them at all.. interviews/etc... only one interview w/her that I know of and nothing technical.

No, the original music was made by my friend on the computer and then I ran it through my modular four or five times- various tube distortions, reverbs and such.brianobush wrote:Yes! Good stuff, is this all done on a modular setup?
I added a few synth tracks as well with the modular, but not too much.

Re: Any vaporwave artists on this forum?
Never knew what Vaporwave was.. now I can see I've done one myself.
At least I think I have - the Bandcamp page says ".. the highly self-conscious, critical stance it takes to its source material. It remodels and repackages it, adding implicit layers of social commentary."
So maybe I haven't.
Then I did a loopy thing with lots of reverb but no voice samples, and a samply thing of the Donald but no reverb, so I guess those don't count either.

Just a simple malcontent

I know I'm probably a few years late on this but any chance you still check this and I'm taking it. Here's my album! https://tephco.bandcamp.com/album/heights

That's a purchase. Thanks for sharing.
I don't know what I'm hearing, but I like what it's doing!
