Shaft Length for SRE330, DCR320 and ADR30 Projects

Post by Volter »

Hello, quick question if anyone could lend some advice,

I've just been searching and found a UK supplier of alpha pots for the SRE330, DCR320 and ADR30 Projects. The shaft length listed is 8.5mm.

My only worry is that the shaft length is too short for the MF-A01 / MF-A02 knobs to fit onto, when taking into account the thickness of the front panel and case? Or are these suitable?

Just wanted to be sure before purchasing them all, I also want to avoided cutting down a longer shaft length if I can.

Thank you for reading,

The shaft length in my experience is in addition to the thread length. As far as I am aware the thread length is fixed and should be sufficient to go through the panel and case (approx 3 -5mm) and put a washer and nut on it. 8.5mm of additional shaft should be spot on for most knobs. I've used Musikding in Germany in the past for pots and knobs because they stock a wider range of values than any UK supplier that I have found and are (or were) price competitive. As long as the total order value is under £135 there are no additional taxes to pay and ordering online is straightforward.

Please use tayda. They also have the dual 50k lin pots.
Use a brass rings for standard potentiometers.
