Does anyone have a step by step dummies guide for hookin up f8r i2c to an er301? I had it goingh for a while, but updated fw on the f8r and the i2c stopped working?

I'm super excited for the forthcoming XVI-M with assignable 3 color buttons!

Are the fadercaps LED too? If so, can we choose different colors?

I set a Disting EX i2c receive channel to 0x34 but the i2c history reveals nothing.

I've double checked the connections and rebooted. Still nothing.

Any suggestions ?

I confirmed that the F8R ouputs i2c in LEADER mode is in fact 0x31

with the help of OS at Expert Sleepers.

Well, in fact, it still doesn't work on either of my EX. I don't have the time to go through all 127 tx channels so I'm giving it a miss for now.

That should be fine. Are you sure the ES is supposed to run as follower? Ive never heard of anyone having to set a channel in a follower set up so I suspect something else is going on

Well, of course. The receiver has to be listening on the same channel. If the F8R is broadcasting on 0x31 and the EX is listening on channel 0x34 they'll be missing each other, no ?

Anyway, I'll try one more time tomorrow with a fresh head and let you know.
