anyone heard from NW2S or have they fallen off the grid?

Post by pixelforest »

seems that every retailer i've talked to has essentially said they haven't really had luck getting a hold of nw2s and my direct email seems to have been ignored for weeks now. trying to hunt down a balanced o16 and there are absolutely none for sale on the internet anywhere in the world. anyone know anything?

I bought an io balanced directly from NW2S a month ago. It had some kind of defect, but Scott Wilson emailed me back about it immediately and sent me a replacement within a few days. Really personal customer service.

I bought a board to convert my unbalanced IO to balanced fairly recently. I had a delivery delay, not from Scott but from the Australia Post black hole. Otherwise I've had no issues with communications.

I recently had an NW2S Balanced I/O Serviced very quickly. Was super responsive. Thanks for that!

I ordered a couple little kits and also emailed with questions. No shipment or reply whatsoever. That was two weeks ago

Messaged them on Facebook about buying an I/O module back in March. They said they were ramping up to make a batch and expected everything to be available in April. I never heard from them about the modules being available on FB or the email waiting list. Sent them a FB message on the 11th, but they haven't seen it. Hope they're alright.

Just lurked Scott's profile, seems like he's on the grind.

anyone know if these will actually be availabe at one point? Or of any alternative that provides 8 or 16 balanced outs?
You could probably ask directly. It's just one person. Also, you probably don't need balanced, unbalanced are available (and much cheaper).

On Modulargrid you can search for 'External' as the function.
Sooon! I just got a load of ICs in that I've been waiting for over a year for. All the parts are now available, and I'm just catching up on some backorders of other modules before I send these over to the assembly house. Maybe 4-6 weeks?

Thanks!

I had another balanced io die on me a few weeks ago. Scott was super responsive last time and replaced it immediately, I’m hoping he gets back to me soon as my system is down until I can get it repaired or replaced. I’m glad he’s still active on here.

Bumping this thread. I ordered a few weeks ago. Two separate orders. First was in stock. Second was back order. Nothing has shipped yet, and no response to an inquiry. I'll keep trying but I'm wondering if this is normal for them.

Not normal... sorry. I thought I had caught up with everyone on dates. I have the o16s going out this week that will catch me up on those. The 'ios are still about a week or two away. They are through pick and place and waiting on the through hole soldering.

My bad, I should have updated. I heard back after my second message and the O16 should get in tomorrow! Thanks so much!
