Hi os,
I downloaded the last version for Intel/M1 64 bit, but still get these errors when using MAX 8.2.1 (not in 8.1.11) on my MBP M1 Max:
esx8cvencoder~: unable to load object bundle executable
es5encoder~: unable to load object bundle executable
Any idea why?
Thanks, Klaus

If it works in 8.1.11 but not in 8.2.1 that might be something to ask Cycling 74 about.

Max 8.1.11 runs with Rosetta and version 8.2.1 is Apple Silicon native. I get the error message "unable to load object bundle executable" for externals that are not Apple Silicon native.

Great! Thanks Os.
Do you run the MAX externals on MAX 8.2.1, M1 Mac and do they work?
I get these errors:
esx8cvencoder~: unable to load object bundle executable
es5encoder~: unable to load object bundle executable
Max 8.1.11 works because it runs with Rosetta.

There was a problem with the code signatures. I've replaced the downloads with new versions. Please try now. I just verified that these work on an M1 mac under Max 8.2.2.

Has anybody been able to program something similar to Ext. Instrument but using ES-5+ESX-8MD to send MIDI messages out to hardware?

Or is there any documentation about how to address the ESX-8MD via the ES5 external?

It would nice to have a ESX-8MD external that takes midi messages input.

Thanks

Where you able to figure this out? What about sending midi to ESX-8MD instead of ESX-8GT+DJ-1000 cable?

Thanks a lot!!!

I was hoping to use the DJ-1000 MIDI/3.5mm Jack out of one of the 8GT sockets to trigger an external synth via its MIDI in.

http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/accessories.html

So am I right therefore in assuming that if I send a note value in Max and scale it to 128 so it reaches socket 8 on the 8GT that I'll be in business?

I get the principle of bit shifting but how does the DJ-1000 "see" values that are across more than one output (beyond 128 in value)?

Afraid not, I sold that module some time ago and don’t think I ever worked out how to do what I was describing.

Thanks for your response. We clearly need an ESX-8MD external from Expert Sleepers :)

Just to make sure - I'm wanting to use the ES-5 with my ES-9 via Max to provide various gate/trigger activities. Is the only way to do this in Max through figuring out the right binary combinations to turn certain channels on/off? Or is there an easy way to patch something up to interact with the individual outputs separately?
