R-56 reverb module
Re: R-56 reverb module
What are your favorite patches and tricks with your R-56?
I like to use mine on drums in parallel to add some nice colours.
I’m still trying to figure out the best modulator for those cv inputs.

Re: R-56 reverb module
I use it as a distant, perverted memory of some happening, that comes and goes.
New track! Our first release in a year and a half. Mostly based on the TINRS Fenix IV.

Re: R-56 reverb module
I was just using it in a patch where the Mix output (100% dry) was being sent to my Supercell (enhanced Clouds clone) and the Wet-Only output was being sent to my R54, and the Drive CV was gating it.
btw, it's a poorly kept secret that the R56 makes a lovely-sounding VCA! If you're using it as such, you'll want to give the CV a little negative offset so it cuts off completely.
I've only used the Feedback CV a couple times. It seems to have very small range depending on what I'm feeding it where it seems to do anything at all.
Everyone wants to be analog until it's time to do some analog shit.
Re: R-56 reverb module
I like patching the Wet output into the Audio input to use it as an oscillator. You can also use it as a Preamp. As far as modulating the R-56, the Drive CV input can be used as a secondary audio input (attenuation is crucial here). I also enjoy sending random CVs through the Feedback CV input.

Processed my voice into those 2 monster effects.
Modulating both feedback with kermit and modcan lfo.

Thanks Joey! I will repost the video on Facebook.
Making more R56s could be a real problem--the little blue plastic spring is backordered for "several months at least". They are "not sure" when stock will be available. Plus the 12CT8 tubes were and still are a "problem", with 15-20% of them bad out of the box or going bad in a few hundred hours. I'm stuck with several dozen left over (untested). Got to keep them around because of routine requests for replacements. A reissue will HAVE to be redesigned to take 6GH8/6U8 types, totally different pinout. Plus the input/output jacks in the old R modules are NLA and I will need to make considerable changes to the PC board. Don't hold your breath.

Joey Blush Response is selling his R56 on Reverb for $3,084.46! Good goin' Joey! They retailed for around $500, but they're so rare and special that +3K is a bargain!

Re: R-56 reverb module
I actually listed it when I was really broke and had a few bills to pay and then forgot about it but now I’ll leave it up because it’s funny
I love my R56 though and wouldn’t sell it unless I had no other choice
