Help with Vintage Flanger Calibration

Post by T.Nieblas »

Hello. I'm trying to fine tune my calibration and I'm finding that I can't dial in the LVL trimpot as well as I'd like to. I find it very difficult to tune it by ear as I don't really hear too much of a big difference as I sweep the LVL trimpot.

I understand that the LVL trimpot dials in the amplitude of the effected signal as it mixes with the dry signal at the end of the circuit before it reaches the final output. I have an oscilloscope and I'd like to look at the waveforms as they enter the final summing amplifier. Then I could set the level and compare the amplitudes of the dry and wet signals to make sure they are the same.

Does anyone have a schematic of the Oakley Vintage Flanger so I can find the final summing stage? The schematic was not included in the documentation and I find it really necessary in case I have to do any further troubleshooting of the circuit in case anything went wrong during my build. I'd much appreciate the help!

The schematic should have been sent in the shipping confirmation e-mail. If for some reason you didn't get it, e-mail me and I'll send a copy to you.

Ah yes, you're right. I bought my flanger board a full year before I finally built it, and I didn't think to look for the schematic in the confirmation email. I do have it. Thank you!
