Croglin 2U Version - R51 and 52

Post by eljay »

Hi Tony, please could you clarify whether R51 and R52 are to be fitted for the 2U version of the Croglin (Issue 2.1 PCB), the parts list has them omitted but the schematic does not show them as 'omitted' for the 2U version. As per the explanatory text R3 is shown on the schematic as '220k/Omit' which is consistent with the 2U parts list.

Many thanks

As per the parts list there is no need to fit them. Although it won't do any harm should you do so since pin 3 of I/O is left unconnected.

The resistors supply the NC lug of the Offset Socket on the 1U module with a fixed voltage of approximately 5V. So when nothing is plugged into the Offset CV input the Offset pot can still make the centre frequencies of the two filters inside the Croglin move apart from each other. In the 2U module the Offset CV and Offset controls are two independent controls, and the Offset CV socket's NC lug is connected to 0V.
