Hello! And CSR Question

Post by REcDeso12oi »

Hello! Excited to see this Studio H sub-forum.

I was just wondering if there was a way to do a reset of the CSR. For example, if you hold down a matrix button to save as the new default value for that button, is there a way to reset it back to unity?

Cheers!

Hello and I too have a question (and no answer for you).

I have an 8 space case (Keen SmartCAB) so obviously space is at a premium. I am traveling and intend to bring the Buchla as the core of my vacation fun rig next week. Is it possible to use the CSR with headphones, use an adapter an two outputs to essentially make my headphones Dual Mono?

Alternatively, I do have a few tini - to 1/4" cables - I might bring my S2400, run audio out from a few places in my Buchla (CSR, ALl out from LPGs, etc) to the S2400 and use the headphones out from the S2400 (and use the s2400 as a monitor, mixer, sampler, sequencer with the little Buchla too). Involving the S2400 seems like a no brainer, just need to get the right pack together so it all can fit.

I asked Doug and this was his response :)

"Sorry there is no simple reset and until this moment it never occured to me.

For the audio, I run audio through A1. I select all and use a scope to adjust them all at the same time until A1 is doubling the audio amplitude. Then I press and hold the encoder to save them all at the same time.

For the CV, each node is done individually. I run a CV to the pitch inputs of two tuned oscillators. For one of them, I have the CSR in the path. I adjust the node level until the pitches match. I then press and hold the encoder to save the node value."

Seems simple enough!
