both is virtually possible but i really didn't have in mind those possibilities when designing the device. the thing is that i consider it as a recorder within a system, with end-to-end functionality, and having it to listen to the state changes might be really dangerous as it might just ruin one's concert/performance/session if not switched off preliminarily...

but as i said before, it is possible, there're no hardware restrictions and it perfectly listens to the i2c buss

Hi,

I'm diving into this deep module, first I have some questions and later depending on he answers, maybe some suggestions.

- Is there a way to make the module change preset with the preset manager ?
- Can the state stopped/running be saved with the preset ?

thanks
Leo

two paralleled processes - 268e hardware upgrade and the Wormhole, both needs very serious attitude, i hope we'd be ready in a couple of months...

funny moment, both are already fully assembled and ready to be flashed...

Alex have made manuals for all the modules, have you looked at them?

I understand that if there's OSC we'll be able to use Max/MSP, Lemur, or any other OSC controller, isn't it?

Hey @traffkin I'm playing around with my 283, and wanted to know how the "cycle" function works.

Can I set cue points? If I wanted to make say a rhythmic loop how would I do that? Plug pulse into ch1, record 10s, ???

Thanks again for the amazing modules.

you can do it manually, trying to find the proper end of loop and then set the cue point there. you'll need the pulse to get to that cue point though... try to use another channel to record that stop/reset pulse and address it to the first one

OK That's what I was doing. Just checking to see if I was missing something. How does the "bidirectional" cycle work? I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

Hey Alex, Can the record functions on this plus a cv controller (semi) emulated the record/loop function of a 220? Just missed a 220 sale by an hour and now I want to die so I’m trying to figure out an alternative.

Also when used with wormhole can you use some channels for recording and some for OSC control, or is it one or the other?

If it’s the latter I may need another one of these..

Thanks again!
Looking for Keen Association 220/e and 268e will pay immediately.

Yeah, you could hook up say a 218 and then just play your riff / melody etc. Add cue points and then use the cue points to loop the line. I'm using the logger in a similar fashion right now, not for a touch controller but for a really complex polyrhythmic line.

That's basically what it's meant for. Record the complex sequencer / controller / waveform parts that you want, then unpatch your S / C / W and use the 283, so that you can re-use the other parts.

well, technically there's no restriction for working in both domains but i find this a bit frustrating, to mix basic functionality... but i'll think about it again when the wormhole shows up
