io ribbon cable

Post by ipassenger » Fri Jan 10, 2020 1:21 pm

yo!

Just got two of these and now I have 16 channel mixer with eqs and aux send for modular (mackie 1604) Boom!

Anyway one question I have is, how rough can i be with the ribbon cables that joins the two boards together? I have unbalanced versions and I'd like em both flush with the right sides of my case (in different rows of course) but I don't want to break the ribbon cables or connectors to get them that close.

At the minute I have a little over a 1hp gap to leave room for the cable.

they'll sit flush with the edge if you "fold" the ribbon cables in. i have had balanced and unbalanced versions of the io and you always have to push in on the center of the ribbon cable to get it to push in.

Same :tu:
I was able to fold down the ribbon cable as far as I dared to and was happy with just placing a 1HP blank panel to cover the gap.
The space you occupy determines the time you live in.

It will go all the way with no spacer necessary... I have two cases with 'io modules right against the end. Not to worry!
