Wonderful! I suspect Cosey Fanni Tutti appreciated the opportunity to dive into this depth and darkness. I imagine it was also a transformative experience.

Thanks for posting this :)

This looks great, would love to see it. Any way to view it outside the UK, or any plans for dvd release?

Please don't quote me on any of this but...

afaik it will be shown at more film festivals in the coming months and is also due to be broadcast by the BBC next year - to coincide with 'Coventry UK City of Culture 2021' (Delia's home town). I would imagine then at some point it would eventually be released on Blu-ray/DVD.

Feels like it's riffing on Berberian Sound Studio a lot, haha. What a weird feedback loop! :hihi:
Looking forward to seeing it.

I wonder if I could get it shown in Preston, given that both sides of her family were Prestonians before moving to Coventry; and she was evacuated there during the war?

Thanks Chris! I’ll be patient, hopeful and keep an eye out for a possible future release. Might be able to see the BBC broadcast while waiting via YouTube or short term subscription. Hope you and Cosey are doing well during this difficult year.

Here's a still from the movie, one of many shots of Cosey playing her TUTTI BOX 2D modular... "channeling Delia across time".
In this photo she is manipulating her Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper (a beta version, without the CV expander) which was used a lot on the soundtrack.

While I look forward to seeing this film, expressions like that just make me cringe.

Maybe I'm getting :youkids:

Your music by the way is boring... get a new hobby dude, find some new interests. It's people like you that turn me off to sites like this.

Has anybody figured out if this is available to watch in the US?

As a young child, watching the Third Doctor on a 7" black and white Sony television, the opening theme changed my life and I resolved to work for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. That never happened, but listening to Throbbing Gristle (thank you, Chris Carter!) and other experimental musicians on WRPI did impact my world view greatly and has led me to, in some fashion or another, to the work I do now in visual art and sound.

If anyone can channel Delia across time, it is certainly Cosey.

Poo. Want to see this - guess we’ll have to wait for a Blu-ray. Hope someone informs us when that’s available.

And now there's a new oral history of Coum & Throbbing Gristle with the same issue. Film festivals in the UK, nothing in the US. :(

The Coum/TG film is not just being screened the UK - it is being shown in Berlin this week... actually it's the premier of the film.
Details via www.throbbing-gristle.com

The producers were intending to get it into more International film festivals but the current pandemic situation is playing havoc with their plans. New dates will eventually be added to the TG and Coum sites as and when they become available.

It's still on schedule to be broadcast on the BBC this year... not sure when but it's definitely happening.

I'll wait for another online broadcast than SXSW at those prices. Being in the u.s. BBC isn't an option.

There's a good article about this in this months Electronic Sound..

I saw it was one SXSW but they cannot show most films internationally, so I didnt check further... didnt see it was 399 but thats for the whole event.
