If you are curious about the availability of the expansion card, I have reached out to Tony. I will let you know when I here back from him!

This is still a little way out but the DSP chip the nord modular platform runs on is in the process of being emulated...

My hope is that some programmer finds a way to make the Axoloti or the Akso boards run with a interface as elegant as the Nord's. They can do a ton of stuff already, many things the Nords can't. It is just not as easy or fun as it is on the Nords.

Hello:
I have a somewhat simple question.
What is the best way to make a tremolo for a polyphonic patch?
I understand the LFO should exist in the polyphonic part of the window.
But I'm not sure how to handle the audio.

Lots of ways to do this.

First, set the LFO signal output to POSITIVE OFFSET, either using a button on the LFO or by sending the LFO through a level shifter module.

Then:
If you want each voice to have it's own tremolo and you don't want the effect in sync across all voices, use any LFO +VCA at the end of the voice signal chain in the upper 'poly' window. You could even 'force' the LFOs to run at slightly different rates by using an LFO with a rate mod input and give them a little bit of KYBD CV so higher notes have slightly faster tremolo etc.

If you want all voices to have synchronized tremolo, you can put an LFO +VCA in the lower effects window and route the polyphonic patch from the upper window to the lower effects section, and it's like running any polyphonic synth through a stomp box effect. All voices go through ONE tremolo effect generator.

There is a another way to do this synchronized tremolo by using one of the more complex LFOs in the upper window scheme described above and select the little MONO button on the LFO which forces all of those replicated LFOs across all voices to operate in sync. But it probably uses up more DSP because you're forcing lots of LFOs to act as one LFO.

NOTE: To control the DEPTH of the tremolo effect, I suggest send the LFO (after the positive offset) to one input of a crossfader and send a +64 constant level to the second crossfader input, and send the crossfader output to the control input of the VCA that is processing the audio. now the knob on the crossfader sets the balance between 'always on' (no tremolo) and '100% tremolo effect'.

i am on G2 rack and this thing is driving me crazy, but can someone explain me why in the "assign midi control" some channels are missing?

for exammple, channel 7 is not listed and by default is assigned to master volume and is not possible to change or customize.

or on channel 19 that's empty, one of the knob on the midi controller make jump from one project to another?

any idea?
thank you in advance!

Those aren't channels, they are continuous controllers.

The preassigned controllers cannot be reassigned. That's the way it is.

Controller 7 is the MIDI standard for volume. Controller 19 toggles between performance and patch mode.

This is all explained on page 142 and 143 of the manual.
