I bought a Roland SH-5 in semi-working condition and I just got it back from the shop!

There's something very special about '70s Roland. Need to get around to fixing my JP-4... :sb:

Agreed! They truly are glorious synths. I played the JP-4 and the JP-8 at the Vintage Synth Museum in Oakland a couple days ago and man, they both sounded incredible! You have to get it fixed!

Man I've always wanted the SH2. One came up for sale locally a while back but I had just bought something. I was pissed I couldn't get it!

Just pre-ordered the Subharmonicon from Detroit Modular. Now the waiting game begins... It would be WONDERFUL if this arrived in time for my Birthday near the end of the month.

Question - is the sound on sound mode like a RE-301 where it erases after one pass, or does it keep looping?

Roland FP-30 - my heart has wanted a Korg SV2 since they came out, ProAudioStar gets it down to under $1700 with the weekend sale... but in the end I already own an excellent Rhodes Kontakt library (Canterbury Suitcase) that I can control with the FP when I want to and I saved a big chunk of money that could go toward a real Rhodes if one ever comes up locally.

I had an FP30, brilliant piano I thought. I quite miss it. I combined synth and digital piano needs into a single instrument with a yamaha MODX8. It's got some good pianos (and a shitload of other stuff going on obviously) but I preferred the FP30's action by far.

Erica Bassline BD-01. And... uh, according to Thomann's shipping department, a SOMA Lyra-8? Uh... nothing against the Lyra-8, we just didn't order one?

Still debating whether to return it or just keep it.

I've sold and re-acquired the Lyra twice now. It's a one trick sort of pony, but sure does that trick well. It's just so much of a character, and a modern day classic too. Try running the bassline through it and see what type of chaos you get out of it.

As for me I picked up one of these.

Got it for $250 from BH Photo. Such a wonderful recorder. Feels great, looks great, and sounds unbelievable. The mics are amazing, and allow you to record in surround sound. I've been using it to record my walks with my son, grabbing random conversations and field sounds. I also use it to record my little hardware jams I do to practice live performances. One 32gb SD can record something like 48 hours of high quality sound, which is almost comical as I can't see myself ever capturing, and then listening to that much. Great purchase

what line inputs does it have? xlr / 1/4" combos? i've gotten so used to recording my single 1/8" input on my old olympus, i'm not sure how my setup would change if i upgraded.. one of the two mics died, so i've got my eye out for a replacement recording device. i don't do field recordings often, but i'd like to have a stereo image again.

I'm about to go pick up a TipTop One from the post office, which means I have to dust off my old Zoom H4 recorder and I guess I also have to start monoizing my old field recordings.

Edit: general gear, oops.
Well, I'm waiting for an oscilloscope, an old Leader I'm hoping will quench my Data thirst.

It does indeed have combo inputs.
