Lyra 8, photos will follow once it arrives. I am fascinated with Soma and wanted to support them while getting an interesting device to incorporate into the studio.

I’ve gotten the MMXX T ape and waiting for it to be delivered. I think this is it for a while. Next step will be to finish the modular!

Right.
I hear you about needing space. And this is why I got this below (which addresses 808,909,606 and 707,727,626, and throws in a legion of FXes and functions):
PS: never-the-less, I am for sure keeping my SH01A andTR09.

I have one of those as well!

Doepfer WASP filter SE (yellow one). All I can say is that the sound is lovely. Very interesting resonance on the low pass. A lot of presence and depth/power... it holds really well with vintage synths ran through it. Nice harmonic distortion too. I should probably get the replacement chips...

I was unsure whether it was good idea. Its burnished stainless steel and feels nice to touch. Its useful and looks ok for me.

I just bought the Roland MC-101 and a hard shell case for it, it should be much better for sitting out in the garden than my MPC is.

The only replacement chips I ever bought for a Doepfer module were audio quality op amps for a 138 mixer module. It turned a previously competent work-a-day mixer into an extremely good one, for just a few pounds.

Me too. Great on the sofa and small enough to take anywhere.

What case did you go for?

I got the Magma CTRL Case it was a bit expensive IMO at £46.49 but it`s better than MC-101 damage ;)

Sounds good. I will probably order some of the chips just so I can keep using it if it blows up or anything. So far I love the sound it's great. Next on the list is the SSM and then SEM... I can't find the CEM Curtis one anywhere but I can't have everything, right. :guinness:

BOOTY :sb:
 Congrats! Probably one of my favorite/most used purchases of the last few years. I got the Dante expander for it, so it gives me 32 channels of I/O on my Dante network. I just end up using the analog I/O on the unit itself as like an extra audio interface. The plug-in editor is superb!

Cool.
But when I think of who are the prime market "targets" of these MC101, TR6S, I can't help envisioning 20-something kids, prone to party well, and to be a bit negligent or "rough" with their gear. And so knowing Roland long experience in gear-making, I imagine they would make these type of gear (ie MCS and TRs) somewhat abuse-resistant. Talking for mostly static use (can't speak for nomadic/travel use) ...

I briefly considered the MC101 Decksaver for my TR6S (it fits for both). Costs about 30€. But I preferred letting my TR6S breathe .... :)
Incidentally, a Decksaver that's great and this time is mandatory if OG is missing, is the cover for Technics 1200/1210 turntables ...

I made this techno remix of an ambient/downtempo track. 🧉

The Doepfer set is still so good. I have the Wasp and SEM and may re-purchase the 18 db.

As for the SEM, you can't go wrong. It does that fat rubber band coated with lard sound so well.

I’m not sure it’s booty, and I didn’t buy it, but i did just rent some office space for a “studio” that isn’t in my house. It’s pretty boring for a midlife crisis, but “Boring” is my middle name.

Picked up some short cables for patching effects and connecting pedals. I also picked up an XLR switcher to experiment with switching easily between an SM57 I use for recorder and the mic mounted to the bell of my sax. I'm curious if phantom power would go through it. I don't see why it wouldn't unless it degrades it some. and also a short right angle XLR cable to see if it may conserve space on the stand I keep the pedals on.
