setup a patch with a longer decay/release and a decent sustain level. this will work with the envelope level for either filter cutoff or pitch. if testing on the filter lower the filter a good amount so youve got some room to work. slowly increase the envelope intensity knob and instead of smoothly opening the filter you'll hear some jitter. or just open the filter all the way and to this on one of the oscillator to affect the pitch. it might be more evident there.

for sure! happy to contribute.cscairney wrote:Thanks chvad. Why I love muffs.
It's a super minor thing and I'm waaaay happy with how this thing sounds but it IS an interesting behavior.
Mine is SN 104. I performed these tests on it and....nothing. No issues. Smooth gliding of the pitch. It’s a beautiful, perfect little instrument. I’m in love with it! Only other synth that made me feel like this was the Voyager OS.
Noisemakers: Maracas. Squeaky shoes. Bean-induced flatulence.

From Thomas at Vermona:
What do y'all think? I suppose it makes some sense BUT wouldn't the sustain parameter then have the same issue? I'm not in any place to know too much about circuit design."thanks for the video. That has nothing to do with jitter as this works completely analog. That simply happens because of the huge amount of 6 octaves on the INTENSITY potentiometer. If we‘d lower the range it would become better."

I have #002 now so yeah, it does have this "problem" but I am not sure I would have noticed that it's not functioning properly. I did test out the same functionality on my Octave CAT and it does NOT does this. Interesting. Now that I know about it, it's irritating but it's not something I would run across in my normal use of the machine.
